Rainy Season has started in Wasgamuwa

There was a longer dry season in Wasamuwa this year. The rains have not come as anticipated by early- mid September. There wasn't enough food, especially grass for animals in the Park. The Tanks and other water pockets that served as sources water for the wildlife were also affected than expected.
The herds of lephants that roamed around in their own habitat in Wasgamuwa appeared to have migrated into other areas in search of water and food.
Wasgamuwa ECO system went dry than anticipated this year.
The Long awaited rains have come to Wasgamuwa from around mid October. It had rained heavily and all the tanks and the streams are full of water now. The animals are joyfully back in the Park. The environment has begun to grow green again.
It is good time to go to Wasgamuwa and be there for a while to experience the Lushness.
